Surfer hair with a bandana?

My hair is long but not past my shoulders. And its been a real problem trying to keep my hair from blowing in my eyes, or on my face. It gets annoying as hell constantly having to move it. I tried flicking it over, parting it over with my hand, and puting it behind my ears. Does anyone know how I can make a bandana look good with my hair without looking like a hippy. Just some ideas would be helpful. I'm a dude too.
