Where did all of these other churches come from?

Many reasons have contributed to the development of all these religious groups, some say that all represent different ways of presenting religious truth. But a comparison of their teaching and practices with the Bible indicates, that the diversity of religions is because people have become followers of men instead of listening to God. Interestingly, one thing they hold in common is, the beliefs they hold dear, did not originate with the Bible but, with ancient Babylon. Who is the instigator of such confusion? The Bible identifies Satan and "the god of this system of things" 2 Corinthians 4:4, and warns us that the "things which they nations sacrifice they sacrifice to demons, and not to God," 1 Corinthians 10:20. Mark 7: 6 He [Jesus] said to them, [ the Jewish Pharisees, and scribes] "Isaiah aptly prophesied about you hypocrites, as it is written, "This people honor me with their lips, they keep worshiping me, but because they teach as doctrines commands of men." Regardless, of whom a group professes to worship, if they hold to doctrines of men instead of the inspiried Word of God, their worship is in vain. 2 Timothy 3: 16 ALL Scripture is inspired of God, and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, 17 that the man [person] of God may be fully competent, cxompletely equipped for every good work.
