I once met Emanuel Steward- (Trainer of The Great Tommy Hearns for those that don't know)- he was with?
I have seen about six of Ronald's fights, he has a very credible jab, fast and accurate, good lateral movement and solid skills. He doesn't have anywhere near the power of his father, but then again really who did. I would put Ronald at or about the same level as Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. Neither have faced really stiff competition, and when he did step up he got KOed by a guy with a comparable record named Harry Yorgey. Yorgey got KOed in his very next fight by Alfredo Angulo. so Ronald is still comparatively raw. At middle weight Ronald doesn't have the power to contend with the name fighters, and even at 154 he was not a big puncher. Back at 147 he looked gaunt and starved, so he had to move up in weight. So far he has out boxed everyone he faced but Harry Joe Yorgey, time will tell if he improves, but he will never even come close to being the fighter his father was, the talent level at comparable stages in their respective careers is far below Tommy's at the same age.
