Casio Exilim screen goes black?

I bought my camera about 10 months ago and it has been working perfectly fine. I brought it with me on vacation and when i got to my destination i went to turn it on. Once it was on i tried to take a picture, i think it took the picture but the screen in black. I cant see what i am taking or the final picture. How do i fix this problem?
